Who Benefits from Freemason's Charity?

The whole community! Freemasonry is one of the largest givers to charity in the whole of the UK. It has it’s own Masonic charities but also gives substantial amounts to other causes such as the hospice movement, cancer care, children’s charities and others in need. This can range from an immediate donation in response to an international appeal to a small local cause.

Freemasonry has now become very much a family orientated organisation and although wives and female partners cannot become Freemasons in the United Grand Lodge of England, many Lodges have a very social programme of activities involving their wives and children
